The Story
A brief synopsis of the story, and profiles of the major characters.

The first original Gundam theatrical feature, Char's Counterattack serves to resolve the fifteen-year feud between dueling newtypes Char Aznable and Amuro Rey. It also closes the book on the Earth Federation-versus-Zeon Dukedom conflict, while Char's grand plan to force the earthbound elites to join the rest of humanity in space foreshadows the ideological conflicts of the second Universal Century. It premiered in 1988, just over a year after the conclusion of the Gundam ZZ television series.

Char's Counterattack represents the first use of computer graphics in Gundam. The 90-second sequence of serenely rotating colony cylinders took three months to produce.
